TJJ Academy holds regular Adult and Kids Gi and No-Gi Jiu Jitsu classes at Parklane Shopping Mall.

Professor James is a black belt under Professor Alexsandro 'Leke' Machado from Checkmat BJJ. Prof James started Jiu Jitsu in his later years of adulthood, and became a seasoned competitor, winning several international competitions in the Master's division. Prof James is well known for his spider and closed guard attacks, using technique to overcome size and strength disadvantages. For the older grappler looking to start your journey, Prof James is the perfect role model for you!

Coach Ben is a Checkmat BJJ brown belt. Starting his Jiu Jitsu journey in Arizona, USA in 2018, Coach Ben is the epitome of the competitive hobbyist. Under the tutelage of several good coaches, Coach Ben developed a unique style of Jiu Jitsu concept teachings that are simple, understandable and repeatable. Balancing a full time job, wife and two kids, Coach Ben firmly believes that Jiu Jitsu is for everyone, competitor and hobbyist alike.
